I’ve been very interested, if skeptical, in this latest attempt at motion gaming. Kotaku just posted a very informative and unbiased review on the combined experience of the Kinect hardware and launch games on their site.

Their full review is worth reading, and it has convinced me to hold off at least for a little while.

For the record, I still want one (and have the space to make it work).

Also check out some of their Kinect game-specific reviews:

The well-written, well voice-acted ones can make up for a lot of whatever else may be lacking, and for the simplest of reasons: They are with you every second you’re playing.

Enslaved’s plot starts really strong, and it ends pretty strong too. In between it’s mostly filler, but the characters are so good and are constantly in convincing dialog with each other to the point that I forgot the plot and just kept pressing forward because my virtual comrades needed my help.

I’m a sucker for any game that borders the “adventure” category, and tells a decent story. Enslaved totally did that for me. There is plenty of action/fighting in the game and the controls are decent enough to enjoy it most of the time, but you’ll be playing the game for the enjoyable story and beautiful environments.

Let's talk about video games!

Tired of posting 140-character reviews of games, I needed a place for starting discussions, posting opinions and sharing experiences in more detail. Welcome! I think I’ve unlocked comments, so have at it.
